Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist. Nearly three decades of professional experience helping people, ten of which have been in clinical psychotherapy.

I came to psychotherapy through classrooms and crisis work rather than straight out of a clinic. I have been a licensed and certified teacher since 2007, and I have worked as a domestic violence clinician and at a Brooklyn outpatient psychiatric treatment centre licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health.

That route matters, because it means I have spent a long time with people at the point where they are least able to present well — and I have very little interest in a version of therapy that requires you to be articulate, composed, or ready.

My clinical approach integrates psychodynamic, mindfulness, parts work, somatic and music-based interventions. In practice that means I am listening on several channels at once: what you are saying, what your body is doing while you say it, and which part of you is doing the talking. Advanced trauma work includes Somatic Experiencing, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and grief and loss guidance.

I have facilitated groups for families, children and parents across a number of helping roles, and I hold a certificate in ADOS-2 assessment as well as clinical training in ADHD assessment.

What working together is like

Relational and interactive. I ask questions, I reflect things back, and when a concrete skill would help more than another conversation about it, I will teach you the skill. I will also tell you honestly if I do not think I am the right clinician for what you need — that is part of the job, not a failure of it.

Prep For Prosperity Psychotherapy exists because the phrase means something specific to me. Prosperity is not money. It is getting clear about what a life worth living can look and feel like for you, and being open to experience it.
