About Nicole

Nearly three decades helping people, ten of them in clinical practice.

I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist. I hold master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and in Education, and I have been a licensed and certified teacher since 2007.

Before this practice I worked as a domestic violence clinician and at a Brooklyn outpatient psychiatric treatment centre licensed by the Office of Mental Health. That history shapes my approach to therapy now — attentive to detail and focused on your individual needs, while still being able to hold the broad scope and big picture in view.

  • LMHC
  • EMDR practitioner
  • Brainspotting Phases 1–5
  • Certified hypnotherapist
  • Music-embodied psychotherapy
  • ACT trained

Try it now

A breathing space, before anything else.

Regulation is a skill, not a mood. This is the smallest possible version of the somatic work we would do together — a paced breath, with a longer exhale than inhale, which is the part that tells your nervous system it is allowed to stand down.

Try a few rounds now. If your body settles even slightly, that is the mechanism we build on in session.

Choose a pattern

4–7–8 · lengthens the exhale, which is what settles the system

Getting started

Three steps, and the first one is a phone call.

Starting therapy is its own hurdle. Here is exactly what happens, so there are no surprises.

  1. 01

A short call, free of charge

Email or call and we will arrange a brief complimentary phone consultation. You describe what is going on; I tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it.

  2. 02

    Your first session

We take a full picture — history, what you have already tried, what you actually want to be different — and agree where to begin. During this intake process, we set achievable goals and establish an action plan.

  3. 03

    The work itself

You will receive personalized care: talk therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, somatic work, imagery or bilateral music, in whatever combination is doing the most good.

Virtual sessions

Secure video therapy anywhere in New York State — the same depth of work, without the commute.

In-office sessions

Limited in-office availability at 26 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY 11242, a short walk from Borough Hall. Directions.

The Prep For Prosperity lotus

Compassionate Care. Guided Growth.

Growth is not something you get pushed into. It is what becomes possible once you have a safe space and consistent support.

  • Gold, at the top hope, fulfilment and success — what you are moving toward.

  • Green, through the middle nature, growth and healing — the work itself.

  • Ocean, at the base calm, depth and held emotion — the ground it rests on.

There is no wrong way to start.

Email for a brief complimentary phone consultation — a short, no-pressure conversation about what you are looking for and whether this is the right fit.
