I am also trained in advanced trauma recovery specialties which include EMDR, Brainspotting (All 5 phases including trainings from Brainspotting founder David Grand), Somatic Experiencing (from SE founder Peter Levine's Ergos Institute of Somatic Experiencing), and I am a Certified Hypnotherapist. Additionally, I hold a Certificate of Completion in ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition) training for the autism assessment of toddlers through adulthood from the Lincoln Institute of Applied Psychology and clinical training in ADHD assessment. I have been a professionally Licensed and Certified Teacher since 2007, having provided Special Education services to students with emotional, physical, psychological, and/or intellectual disabilities through The New York City Department of Education and I am an approved and contracted SETSS (Special Education Teacher Support Services) related services provider for the NYCDOE. Apart from facilitating Professional Development Workshops for teachers and school staff as a vendor for the NYCDOE, I have also conducted Self-Care and Mental Health Workshops at MINKA, a holistic wellness center in Brooklyn. I have worked as a Domestic Violence Clinician for one of the nation's largest nonprofit organizations serving families in traumatic crisis.
I have practiced clinical psychotherapy with adults, adolescents, families and children at a Brooklyn outpatient psychiatric treatment center licensed by the Office of Mental Health (OMH). I currently operate Prep for Prosperity, my psychotherapy private practice, supporting clients in resolving issues related to depression, anxiety, life stressors, grief, loss, trauma and other mental health concerns. I am also a proud mother of a daughter and a son.
